What a wonderful, beautiful afternoon. Approximately 75 people attended, sipping lemonade, munching on some treats, looking around the studio, and contributing to two collaborative projects. Both projects will be hung in the windows very soon! I enjoyed hearing friends, family and total strangers giving feedback on what they envisioned for the space. THAT's the kind of excitement I want this studio to generate. Art for everyone, a safe and welcoming space to plan and execute some dreams!
Special thanks to Lance for taking photos and diving in headfirst with me. Thanks to my Mom, sister Sarah, Karen, Amy, Gwen, and Stacey for bringing food. Thanks also to Joan and Tom, Karl, Karen and Craig for their donations to the kitchenette. Thanks to the kids who showed up and jumped right into the art projects, like they do. This space is for you guys, too.
