CALL FOR ART: The Beehive is buzzing for new work. Anyone can submit a 2D
piece of work, ready to hang, no larger than 12 inches on a side.
The theme is COMMUNITY. What are the images that come to mind when you
think about living and working together in the Joplin area today?
Original work will be displayed for viewing in a large grid at the Beehive
in Carthage. The Beehive will be open to the public on Saturdays 10-5 and open as a
venue at the Carthage Art Walk October 12-13.
Art will be photographed and posted on the Beehive Facebook Page as well as
the website.
All work will be for sale online and at the Carthage Art Walk. Every piece
will be priced at $100. $50 will go to the artist, and $50 will remain with the Beehive.
In addition, every piece will be photographed for inclusion of a published
book of art and writing. This book will be full color, and available for sale
in time for the holiday season. There will be a book launch party in November,
and we will give thanks communally for a job well done!
